From the year 2010-11, NIOS has introduced 100% On-line admission in order to facilitate learners in registering themselves with it. Off-line admission quota has been dispensed with. Under this scheme learners have the options to
(a) register themselves On-line directly
(b) may visit their nearest Accredited
Institution (AI) (study centre)/Facilitation Centre
and take their help for On-line registration.
(c) may visit their Regional
Centre for on line-registration.

This
stream for online Admission is Open for new Learners extended upto 10.09.2010
(5PM) as per the laid down eligibility criteria for Secondary
& Sr. Secondary Levels. These Learners will be eligible to appear
in Public Examination first time in April 2011. Admission Opened for April 2011 Examination. Requisite Fees in the Form of DD in Favour of Secretary NIOS payable at Concerned Regional Centre or through Online Payment through Credit (Master or Visa)/Debit Card (Visa only of select Bank)

| Stream 2 - (Online Admissions for learners wanting to appear in October- November, 2010 Examinations): First Public Examination : October 2010 (Registration available only Online).

This stream for Online admission is for all eligible appearing learners or who had appeared but could not clear the Public Examination of Secondary/Senior Secondary Levels from any recognized Examination Board for the same subject combination in which they had appeared or eligible for appearing. The learners of this stream will be eligible to appear in the October-November 2010 Public Examinations of NIOS in Secondary/Senior Secondary, on the basis of marksheet/admit card of the respective Boards (Admission available only Online). | Stream 3 - (Online Admission for learners wanting to appear in On Demand Examination System (ODES) of NIOS for Secondary Level): (Available only On Line)

The following category of learners are eligible for Online Admission Stream 3 1. Learners who have already passed Secondary from recognized Board and want to take part admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for updating their qualification. OR 2. The learners who had appeared but could not clear the Public Examination of Secondary Level from any recognized Examination Board and want to appear through On Demand Examination System of NIOS for Secondary level only. This stream for On-line admission is open throughout the year. The admission under this stream is limited to the availability of seats in ODES with an option of Examination Centre at the Regional Centre and at Head Quarter. Requisite Fees in the Form of DD in Favour of Secretary NIOS payable at NOIDA/DELHI or through Online Payment through Credit (Master or Visa)/Debit Card (Visa only of select Bank) |

following category of learners are eligible for Online Admission Stream
IV and is open throughout the year. 1. Learners who
have already passed Sr.Secondary or above from recognized Board/University
and want to take part admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for
updating their qualification as well as the learners should have passed
Secondary class (class 10th) from any recognized Board. OR 2. The learners
who had appeared but could not clear the Public Examination of Sr.Secondary
Level from any recognized Examination Board in the same subject combination
in which they had appeared and want to appear through On Demand Examination
System of NIOS at Sr.Secondary level as well as the learners should
have passed Secondary class (class 10th) from any recognized Board.
This stream for On-line admission is open throughout the year. The admission under this stream is limited to the availability of seats in ODES with an option of Examination Centre at the Regional Centre and at Head Quarter. Requisite
